Lullabye

If there is one of Billy Joel's songs that has incredible meaning when you learn the whole story it is this one. Billy wrote this song for her daughter when he and Christie were breaking up. She would ask him what happens when we die and he would tell her that you go into everyone who is closest to you's hearts. This song brings Billy down from the clouds I think, with some songs he writes being about sex and women, you can really tell that he does have a real soft side when you listen to this song.
My Favorite line from this song is
"Someday we'll all be gone but lullabies go on and on. They never die thats how you and I will be."
This line shows how he feels about his daughter and how beautiful this song really is. It is a lament that isn't afraid to show that we will die but, we will always still be together
